DAILY SKIN CARE ROUTINE
We are always inspired by Korean skin-care routines, while many of us actually don’t know the correct order of an ideal skin care routine. A daily skin-care routine can help you maintain your skin health, prevent acne, dark spots and wrinkles. We know that it is hard for you to remember each and every step but, if you don’t apply your skin care products in a correct order your skin will not receive the full benefits of each product. Here is the correct and simple order to apply your skin-care products.
Step 1: Cleanser
Cleansing your face helps to remove dirt, sweat, bacteria and pollution from the surface of your skin. Splash your face with lukewarm water and use a gentle face wash which is designed for your skin type. For “Normal skin type” which is neither too oily nor too dry and is well-balanced you can use gel, cream and foaming face wash. For “Oily skin type” which produces too much oil and sebum and is likely to experience large pores use Gel Facial Cleanser or Foaming Face Wash. For “Combination Skin” which has some dry areas as well as some oily areas use Gel-based or Mildly Foaming face washes that regulate excess oil without drying your skin. For “Dry skin Type” which lacks natural oils and may experience roughness, use Cream & Lotion Face Cleansers.
Step 2: Toner
Face toners prepare your skin for moisturizer while getting rid of excess oil and stubborn dirt. Toners are effective in balancing the skin’s pH level. Toner tightens up the pores of your skin which minimize their appearance. It gives your skin a radiant and refreshed look. Facial Toners hydrate the skin naturally and helps to increase the absorption of your moisturizer. Put a few drops of the toner on a cotton pad and apply it all over your face, allow it to dry. Instead of using cotton pad you can take a few drops in your hands and apply it over your face.
Step 3: Moisturizer
Moisturizer is used for protecting, moisturizing, rejuvenating and lubricating the skin. All the skin types need moisturizers every day. There are different types of moisturizers for different skin types. For Oily skin type use gel, light or serum type moisturizers. For Dry skin type use cream and thick moisturizers. For Combination skin type use Oil-free moisturizer which moisturizes dry areas and controls oil in oily areas.
Step 4: Sunscreen
Sunscreens are used to protect the skin from the harmful UV Rays of the Sun. They help to prevent sunburn and premature aging. Sunscreens also help to decrease the risk of Skin Cancer. There are various types of sunscreens available in many forms like cream, lotion and gel. Apply sunscreen to all the exposed skin 30 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply sunscreen every 2 hours.
Step 5: Lip Balm
The purpose of lip balm is to moisturize the lips and prevent them from external exposure. It helps to avoid chapped, peeling and cracked lips. Some lip balms contain SPF to protect the lips from sun damage. Just like how the sunscreen protects your skin from damage, lip balm protects your lips from looking dry and chapped. Applying lip balm helps to seal moisture in lips and protect them from external damages. So this was the easiest 5 Step skin-care routine which I personally call CTM+SL.
